Visitors Visa (TRV) Processing time 2016 India

Hi,

I applied for Canada visitors visa (TRV) online from India on 26th Jan 2016. So far, I have received 4 emails from CIC as under:

Jan 26th: You have a new message in your MyCIC account. (Application Submission)
Jan 26th: You have a new message in your MyCIC account. (Application Received Confirmation)
Jan 27th: Your application(XXXXXXXXX) has been updated. (I can't see any update in my online application)
Feb 4th : Your application(XXXXXXXXX) has been updated. (I can't see any update in my online application)

I received these "application updated" emails from cic but I dont see any messages/updates in the cic profile. Please suggest what these emails mean and how long does it take to receive a decision. Thanks.

it take about 35 to 40 days for online application

Hey hi..i applied for my trv on 18 th jan and never heard anything from cic ...i have applied online...i just got the message about application being submitted and nothing else.It says 18 days as processing time on cic website but its almost 25 days...has anyone else faces the same trouble?

Its 18 business days, not calendar days. I think you should expect a response soon. 15 Jan applicants are waiting still. Please update when u get any response. Good luck!!

dear it takes total 30 to 35 days . forget current application times

trust me...the actual processing time is depend on how quickly they verify your information.
My mother's tourist visa application was submitted online on Feb 6th, 2016 and she received passport request on Feb 10th, 2016.

Hello everyone

I applied for my mother-in-law online on Dec 2nd 2015 and there is no update till now. I have even raised case specific enquiry, but no luck till date.

I too got 3 emails after I submitted my application online and the third one looked like a dummy email with no updates found on CIC.

Im sponsoring my mother in law and she holds India passport and currently she is in Dubai staying with her elder daughter so I gave Dubai address on the application.

Looks like my application got stuck somewhere on the system. So please share your updates because im clueless whether to re-apply or to wait longer. Even the call center is not responding to my query.

Hello guys I applied online on February 19.. I received the first two emails 2hrs after I applied.. On February 20 I received an email that my app was updated went and checked and didn't saw anything.. But I scroll up and saw that my file status said OPEN.. Do you guys have that?
