Visitor's visa processing time

Hi

I am working on a LMIA-expemt work permit in Canada. Due to some personal reasons I could not add my wife's SOWP application with my WP application. Now I have submitted her visitor visa application on 20th May 2022 and had her biometrics updated same day.

Now her application is still progress. As per the new portal they provide results within 15-30 working days.

Do anyone know how long it generally takes to get visitors visa using the new portal?

Results are not within those timelines. Processing depends where you live.

I thought new portal is different from the normal IRCC portal. Isn't it that so?

Sometimes it is faster. For some, no. Have your received any update on the file? Biometrics request? 15-30 days doesn’t mean processing and approval…it means they opened the file.

As such no. Because had submitted her SOWP application and submitted her biometrics on 7th April 2022. So the portal automatically updated her biometrics data on the day I submitted my wife's visitor visa application. And no updates after that.

Hi I have applied for visitor visa while i was outside my country of residence. Now I am back to my country. How should i submit my passport for visa stamping within my country or from where i have applied initially?

did you received passport submission request. if yes, than raise a webform to change the country of residence.
