Scanned signature is not normally considered "valid".jieu2969 said:Hi All,
I am filling the forms for the TRV application on behalf of my in-laws. Once completed, I will send across the soft copies (by email) to them, they will print, sign and apply(on paper) to a VISA office near them. I am in Canada and they are in India.
Question 1: Now, while filing the form IM5476(Use of representative), there is a question (Section B- question 8) which ask for 'Signature of representative'. Do I need to print it, sign it and send it across to them by post ?, Or can I print it, sign it, scan it and then send it across to them by email (soft copy).
It's up to you. To me, it largely depends on the local Visa office. Like in Bangladesh, it's highly recommended that the invitation letter is original and formal which has been notarized in Canada. Other offices may be more lenient.Question 2: Do I need to send the original invitation letter to them. Meaning, Print the invitation letter, sing it and send it across to them by post. Or can I print it, sign it, scan it and then send it across to them by email (soft copy).
If I were you, I would advise your in-laws to contact local VFS/VAC office and get suggestions for your questions. Another way is to apply online I guess.
