Hi,
If my uncle had applied for refugee status more than ten years ago but was denied. And he went back to his country with his decision before deportation. Can he apply to Canada as a visitor now for a short visit ?

Thank you.

Yes - he can apply. There is no guarantee he will be approved - but he can certainly apply. To increase the chances of being approved, he should include as much evidence as possible that demonstrates he has strong ties to his home country and has no plans to remain in Canada long term.

They should definitely consider this. Include as much information as you can. Good luck.

His visa will be denied because Canadian immigration has his fingerprints.they will get to know immediatley that this person was a refugee claimant in past.

Apply for a Super Visa for you Mom. Your daughter you should be able to sponsor, I would get some legal advise for this. Contact the law firm hosting this site they are very good.
