Visitor visa VFS Bangalore April 9th 2017

Hi all,

My parents applied for a visitor visa from VFS Ahmedabad on April 9th and their passport was submitted to the Bangalore visa office. They have not heard anything about it since then. The VFS tracking information says it's under processing. I am worried about their application. Can anyone tell if this is normal? Processing time is supposed to be 22 days. I would appreciate any help on what I can do to get some information about their application.

You can drop a case specific enquiry and send a mail asking about the status of your application

Processing times on the IRCC website are only estimates. Actual processing can take longer.

Do try linking their paper applications to their online account for more updates.

And, as Swapna has suggested you can send a Web form (CSE) to request the visa office to take expedited decisions

I did send a CSE request last week but have not received a response yet. Their application was online through VFS, but VFS only gave them a tracking number (no application number etc). I could link their application to the CIC account, but that also says under processing.
