Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi,

I am currently in the US on a business visit (B1visa). My company here in us wants to send me to Calgary, Canada for some business for 1 month.

Now, I have a multiple entry visitor visa (V1 visa category) for canada. The visa states "Visitor". I applied for this visa 3 years ago for tourism/sightseeing.

Now my company is planning to send me. Can I use my existing visitor visa to enter Canada or should I still go and apply for another separate business visa.

Please help. What should I tell at the POE.

Many thanks
Allen

If you read CIC, "Business Visa" is actually of three types and your purpose doesn't seem to fall on any of the Business Category.

I am assuming your Visitor Visa would be sufficient. But let's wait for the experts.

Hi there,

read the link however, I am NOT a business immigrant. I am visiting Canada for some business discussions for 3-4 weeks.

My question here is can a visitor visit canada for business discussions on a visitor visa.

Has any one got a short stay Business visa, If so what category ??? is it "V1"

My vis too is a "V1" category...just want to be sure that V1 is same for short business visit.

Thanks

There is no business visa. You can use your Visitor Visa to enter Canada for business discussions, conferences, meetings, training, site visit.
