My sons visitor visa is showing under process..biometrics done..eligibility completed..background under process..how long will it take

No one can tell you. Processing times are estimates for most applications and is stated on the IRCC website. You can raise a webform and ask about status but no way to expedite. Are you PR, TRV, work/study permit?

Posted processing times are just estimated averages and often incorrect. Some will get processed quickly while others will wait a few months.
When did you get your TRV? How old is child? Why didn’t you apply together? Son’s ties to return?
I got my trv in sept..Sons passport was about to expire..so applied for his visa on 11th Oct n biometric done on 26th Oct..my daughter is studying there too..have booked our tickets in first week December..should I wait?
Wait for what? Your son may not get his TRV in time, if approved. Still needs approval and passport stamping. IRCC tells you not to book airfare. Processing time doesn’t include time for biometrics.
My son is 15 yrs old..we have travelled to Canada earlier too..this time visa processing to taking very long..I got my visa within 3 weeks
Everyone has different processing times and he applied separately from you. Maybe you got yours faster because you didn’t apply with your son as a dependant. He is your tie to return. All you can do is wait. Hopefully you will get a positive response within the week.
I got my sons passport submission letter on 28th November ..after almost 6 weeks of applying..now hoping to get the passport after printing in the coming week.

I applied in late Nov 2023, I had a ghost update on 1 dec 2023 and I didn’t get any update through out the month and then i started getting ghost updates from 3 Jan to 8 Jan and no update after that. No significant changes happened in my file even though it said last updated on those days.
can someone please tell me what’s going on ?

@Starrrr123 I assume you have applied for visit visa. as your last status says Background check in progress and i believe this is the last step. Count 1 month from biometrics and you can expect decision any day. if you are from INDIA.
