Visitor Visa still processing after 8 months

what is your application status now? I know your application stream.

my application stream is different but SVO is Abu Dhabi as well.

Hi,
I applied for my father's visit visa from the portal on Jan 31st, 2024. As per GCMS everything except security has been completed which was started on April 24th, 2024.
It has been almost 8 months in security processing. He is a govt official (not high ranking) and we provided a No objection certificate for visa processing received through his department.

As per GCMS notes, the primary VO is AbuDhabi and the secondary is Islamabad. I raised a web form for Abu Dhabi IRCC office asking for security status etc.

Hi All,

I applied for my parents visitor visa back in December 2023 from Pakistan through GCKey.

It's been almost 8 months with no update to their application. I followed up with IRCC back in May 2024 and they told me to wait.

It's incredibly frustrating and I don't know what to do next. I applied for GCMS notes for my dad and they seem to be stuck on security clearance.

Can anyone advise me on this and if anyone experienced this issue before?
