Hello, has anyone that has applied for a visa after Sep 7th in KSA been given a decision on their application? It's been nearly 3 months for my family member since they applied (counting after biometrics were completed) and we haven't received a response or any update.

Interested to hear your experience (if any).

Hi. I’ve applied from Riyadh for spousal visitor Visa.

- Application submitted: June 28th, 2021
- Biometrics: July 1st, 2021
- November 9th, request for additional docs

2nd App:
- Applied: Jan 6th
- Biometrics: done in first app
- BVL: Jan 19th

No further updates.

I see. The expected processing time shown on the website indicates that it'll take around 3 months (it's been going between 70-100 days over the past few weeks) I wonder how accurate of an estimate this is.

You should hear a decision soon since you got the BVL. All the best

This group for KSA APPs

Today, one girl spousal vv was refused
Sorry to hear this. What is her status in Canada and how did her spouse show home ties? She can reapply depending on reasons/grounds of refusal

wait whats a BVL? I don't see anything of the sort in the portal. It just shows me the date my biometrics were registered and completed in a box and says they're doing background checks and processing the app. It's been like this for 3 months..

A BVL - Biometric Validity letter. Usually the BVL and Decision roll out in a span of few seconds to few minutes or hours or days / weeks. But in all cases, it is under a few mins [ based on my personal exp with my own applications]

A BIL = Biometric Instruction Letter and has got nothing to do with your decision.

I am not sure now which one you are referring to

Oh I'm talking about the BVL. I was not aware that this was a thing.. I've been waiting for so long since the biometrics were registered, and here I see someone getting their BVL within 2-3 weeks..

BVL means a decision has been made already. It has not yet reached you due to a technical difficulty.

Which visa office is mentioned in the BVL ?

Oh I haven't received a BVL, the last document I got sent was the Biometrics Collection Letter 3 months ago, which I abided by and submitted and got the biometrics done till 2031.

What did you receive on Jan 19th then.. You say it is a BVL here, incorrect?
