Hi,

1. How long did you want to visit? And why?

2. Was any of the money in your bank account borrowed from someone? Do your savings match your income/expenses?

3. Do you have other strong ties to your country of residence/home country such as property/land ownership, or a lease agreement + immdiate family who live with you, etc?

4. How long have you been working at your current employer?

Cheers

1. What's the purpose of your visit?

2. As for your cash deposits, is your salary paid as cash? If yes, do your cash deposits match your income?

3. Do you file Income Tax Returns?

4. Do you have any rent agreement in your name?

5. Do you have any children or parents/siblings who are dependent on you?

6. Has your employer given you a leave approval letter which states you will have your job when you return?

A visa officer may question why you want to spend a considerable amount of your savings on a holiday trip to Canada. The situation would've been somewhat different if you have a Canadian relative who is inviting you.

As your salary is paid as cash + you do not deposit it regularly, it will be difficult to convince the visa officer that the money in your bank account is all yours/not borrowed.

Also, how long has the USD 12, 350+ been in your account?

IMO, you must not reapply for a TRV until your situation changes (regular salary deposits preferably as bank transfers, a rent agreement in your name, etc.)

If you still wish to apply then you must:
1. Prove your bank balance matches your cash income after deducting monthly expenses

2. Prepare a detailed day-by-day itinerary with all expenses for each day.... and prove you can pay for this itinerary + airfare, etc. without borrowing from anyone

3. Include a leave approval letter + a letter stating you are paid XXXX amount as cash every months since XX date + 6 months salary slips

4. Scan your US visa + Schengen visa + prepare a Travel History explanation (visa details + entry/exit dates + purpose of each visit)

5. State your family ties i.e. dependent wife + copy of your marriage certificate

6. 2-3 credit card statements (if you have)

Hi,
My aunts Visitor Visa application was refused few days back. We are applying for the second time very soon. Can anybody suggest me on What to select in purpose of visit in the application form (She will be visiting her nephew, nephew's family, will be staying with them during Christmas and Newyear holidays but will also do some sightseeing in multiple places which we will mention in the Itinerary). I am confused which one to choose between a. Family Visit b. Visit

Please suggest.

Purpose of visit:
What will you be doing in Canada?
What are your plans for visiting? Are these plans well thought out or just superficial?
What is the duration of your visit? Is this practical? Does it fit in with your strong ties to your home country?

Select 'Family Visit'

She must prepare a detailed day-by-day itinerary with expense estimates for each day.... and prove that she can pay for this itinerary + airfare, etc. without borrowing from anyone.

You must consider her TRV application in totality.... and not just the 'Purpose of visit' refusal. For example, does she have strong reasons/ties to her home country + can she provide evidence for this?

I think there is different criteria depends on the offices
My application was treated in paris and i see other applicants refused by the same office but those whom their application treted in Dakar (Senegal) most of them their visas were approved

so my question : is it possible to choose the office to submit application ?

Is the Paris visa office responsible for TRV applications from your country/region? Did you submit an online application?

Quite honestly, it does seem unusual why you want to holiday in Canada (and not in Europe, for example, which is closer to you) + why you want to spend your savings for this trip + if it is only for tourism then why a holiday alone (and not with your wife or another family member).

To answer your question: It's not possible to choose the visa office

I'm in Mauritania and the applications are treated in both France and senegal

I spent my holiday in germany for seven days and US for 10 days I have a valid us visa and i see so many applications approved they are traveling alone without their family and have only cash deposits in ther accounts but their applications were treated in senegal

As per the IRCC website, TRV applications from Mauritania are processed by the Dakar, Senegal visa office.... and not by the Paris VO. Algeria is the only country from North Africa for the Paris VO.

You can submit a paper application at one of the VACs which accepts apps for the Dakar VO

Hi Bryanna,

Thanks for your response. Her previous refusal reasons were 1. Purpose of visit 2. Financial Status 3. Travel History. Can u pls suggest me in the following issues:

1. We have added a detailed Request letter for issuing visitor visa and clarified her purpose there. We are also attaching a separate itinerary letter where we have mentioned that she will stay with her nephews family but will also visit some places at specific dates. Will it work?

2. Last time we applied for 4 months stay, which may have been a mistake as her liquid assest wasnt enough to support such long trip. Although she wasnt going to stay such long period, we thought this would help her to get multi-entry visa. However, this time we are applying for a precise 3 week visit. Do we need to clarify why we have reduced stay lenght such significantly? If yes, how?

3. Shorter trip reduces her cost significantly. She has around CAD 6000 as liquid assets. Return tickets cost around CAD 2200 from her home country and Im guessing, CAD 1100 as per week cost. That means her overall cost will be around CAD 5500 and hope that her previous balance would be enough to cover it. However, to make her case strong, she has deposited some cash savings (source explained in letter, no proofs available), if these new funds are taken into account, then her liquid assets will be around CAD 10000. Im not sure how Visa Officers calculate cost for a 3 week trip or how to calculate cost for each day, Any suggestions?

3. Travel history - Nothing can be done anytime shortly

4. UCI - Last time in refusal letter, we got a UCI number. Is it mandatory to quote this number in this new application?

5. Some of the documents from Inviter is being reused for the second application. Like the Job letter from the employer which is 45 days old. Although the inviter has sent a new invitation letter but said the same Job letter will be sufficient. Is it ok to reuse this? Is there any expiration date for using such documents for the second time?

Please suggest.
