It will be considered as part of the study permit application but its not automatic refusal, just try to make a strong application. Dont forget to mention the refusal in your SP application.

Read through all the posts on the first/second pages of the Student forum https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/forums/international-students.2/

Especially anything to do with writing sop/study plan.

You need to convince the officer that your studies make sense and will help you progress upwards.

You need to convince them that you have strong ties back home you will come back to.

Hi Bongoman,

Any suggestions on how to show strong ties to home country? Apart from employment letter, how to prove strong ties as my parents have got visitor visa and his was refused. Do we have to show any property on his name? He is not married. I am thinking apply under SDS category.
Please guide.

Thanks.

Hi, Please guide me on the below query?

Any suggestions on how to show strong ties to home country? Apart from employment letter, how to prove strong ties as my parents have got visitor visa and his was refused. Do we have to show any property on his name? He is not married. I am thinking apply under SDS category.

One more thing, can I pay his tuition fees as I reside in Canada? Can he put me in his application as a supporter after my father? Or would that work against him?

Awaiting for your response.

Thanks very much.
