I recently applied for a Canadian Visitor Visa and got refused due to the following reasons:

I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• You do not have significant family ties outside Canada.
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

Given these information, is there a way to appeal to this or inquire to them what documents I lacked and what documents should I add in my next application to fulfill these requirements?

For context:
  • I may not have stated that I will travel with my parents even though I am.
    • I only applied with my sister since my parents already have their Canadian Visas.
  • I am currently studying as an undergraduate, but will have my graduation hopefully this July.
    • Currently on a scholarship requiring me to get permission when traveling outside the country and also obligated to work within the country for 4 years after my graduation.
    • Was not yet able to include documents regarding the permission of travel (thought they would ask me about it after getting my biometrics).
  • First time travelling outside of the country.

How old are you? How long was visit? What ties to do you show to return if you graduated? You need to include documents regarding permission to travel. If you didn’t include the dcouments then you were rightly refused. IRCC will not ask for documents. You need to submit all documentation when you apply. It is your responsibility.

Why did you apply with sister as you are not dependant on each other? Was she approved?

Just because parents have visa doesn’t mean you will be approved.

Age: 22
Length of Visit: Sept. 21 to Oct 12 2024

I did not provide any ties.

I now understand that all available information relevant or related to the application should be included.

Applying with my sister only meant that we had the same account and she was the one to receive the updates. Her application was approved, probably due to her having work in the country we're residing.

Regarding my parents, I failed to state who I will be travelling with and that it was supposed to be a graduation gift vacation.

Adding these information, would there be any relevant changes with their decision? Thank you for your reply.

So you are 22 a not longer a dependant of them. Travelling with them is not relevant. You needed to apply through your own account as again, you are not dependant through her. You showed no ties to return so were rightly refused. If you are single, it is always more difficult to be refused because you have no family ties to return so you need absolute proof you will return through job and school.

This is noted, thank you very much for your responses. Do you think I should reapply right away, given my situation and the details I provided? Are my reasons valid to be reconsidered.

Also, is it right that there is no appeal option and I have to reapply again?
