Hi Friends,

I would like to apply for my parents Visitor visa. I am currently in Ontario with PR status.
I have few questions regarding Visitor Visa. Can you please help me to understand the process?

• Can I apply online for my parent's visitor visa from Canada by creating account with their details (name, dob etc.)? If possible, where and when my parents will submit their passport for visa stamp?
• What are the supporting documents needed?
• My parents do not have their marriage certificate, any alternatives?
• My dad is a retired person and my mom in housewife. Is it required to show last few years income tax submission documents?

Yes

Their applications will be considered as applied from India, not from Canada. They would need to submit their passports to VFS Kolkata.

Your birth certificate and/or copy of your passport which states both their names as your parents.

Retirement and not working (your mom as a housewife) does not change their status in the income tax records. All that matters is their income. Evem if the income is zero/low income they must file their IT returns.

To answer your question: Yes, they must submit IT returns of the last 1-2 years to confirm that the funds declared for their visit matches their income
