I'm having a little issue with CIC system. I got a CIC account and applied for a temporary visa to visit my daughter and her family in Canada. The problem is that even though in the IMM5645E I checked that my wife will accompany me, the application site didn't provide me any space to upload the filled forms for my wife.

I thought that it is a sequential process and if I complete the steps by paying, there will be the space available based on the MM5645E for my wife. But unfortunately the application got locked.

What should I do now ? Should I apply in separate application for my wife ? or I'd better wait and see if the officer will ask for it ?

You have a slot for "letter of explanation" (or something like that), write one and explain that you are attaching extra documentation for IMM5645E. Scan the letter of explanation and attach all documents you need to submit.
 
So you mean I'd better to submit new application for my wife and attach explanation letter with extra documents?

Sorry, didn't see that you had already submitted the application. Of course it is locked, by paying you are asserting that the application has all the required documents for it (it says that when you sign it digitally).

I don't know if any other members know of some way to correct this. It looks like it will be rejected so I would just wait for the rejection and reapply.

You can't have two active applications at the same time, so you can't reapply now.
 
My suggestion speak to someone in Call Center.

EMail your visa office immediately stating your situation and let them advise you

I would never wait for a rejection/ or response from them to react

Sometimes if they note you have missed a document they will ask you to upload them in your MYCIC
