Visitor Visa Inland applicant

Hi there! So I have a temporary work permit right now and and I applied for a visitor visa last month - inland. I am planning to go home January 2022 and still haven't heard from IRCC.

1. How long does the processing normally takes?
2. And am I gong to have any issues if I go home and wait for my visitor visa in my country if ever I dont get it on time?

From what I heard before, It takes longer for an inland application than outside Canada.

I was able to renew my visa when I went home in 2010 in the Philippines. and it only took 3 days.

But of course, this was long time ago and pre -pandemic.
