From IRCC Portal, Applied visitor visa for parent in mid of July 2024. After biometrics update, Still show same message from last 3 months :

1. Your application is in progress.
2. We are processing your background check

Should i contact IRCC or submit the web form. (Parent are in India)...

Processing for most is 4 months so no need to raise a webform yet.

Thank you for quick reply. I requested (2 weeks) TRV application for Sept ,2024. is there any chance to get TRV after submitted time period...
submitted invitation letter for sept. 2024,( 2 weeks) ...................

yes its possible and most applications get visa these days after their planned TRV date of travel

Is medical required for Visitor (TRV) visa.? only My father got email for his medical exam in next 30 days.
i applied TRV so they don't have to face medical but now father got letter and may be mother will get email soon for medical ....

Thank for quick reply. My parent super visa was declined last year. that's why i applied Visitor Visa (TRV) in July 2024.
As per ICCC website, Medical required for Professional who want to work and Super Visa . i donot understand, why they sent medical for my father visitor visa application.

For a TRV, you don’t need medical but are you positive he didn’t apply for supervisa?

And haven't submitted medical insurance too. Now i have a two questions:
1. How can i find it out, Submitted Application for Visit visa or Super Visa
2. If i applied for Visit visa for parent, can i have a right to decline medical.

1. When you go into the status update it doesn’t say what he applied for?
2. If applied for TRV then you don’t need a medical. Assume you didn’t provide letter of invitation, NOA to meet LICO and health insurance.

1. visit visa or super visa
2. staying for 6 months or longer (this will define if its visit visa or super visa) do you remember which option you choose
super visa is still a temporary resident visa which allows its holder to stay for more than 6 months in canada

Application Status : In Progress
Application Type : Visitor Visa (Temporary resident ...)

Background Check & Medical Exam: these both are in Progress
Eligibility: Complicated
Biometric: Complected

Should i send web form to decline the medical due to TRV application
