Hi,

I am a graduate student in Canada. My parents have Canadian Temporary visa and they have visited Canada once. My sister is 27 year old and my brother is 9 years old, and they do not have visa yet. My parents, my brother and my sister would like to visit me during Christmas, and my father will bear all the costs.

I have few questions regarding application process. I will greatly appreciate any help or direction on the below questions.

1. As my sister is disabled and my brother is 9 year old, they won't be able to do their application process, thus I will be taking care of their online application process. My first question is: since my father will be applying on behalf of my brother and sister, so who should write the Purpose of Travel: my father or the applicants?

2. Can we fill one application form for both of them. If yes, then who should be the main applicant: my brother or my sister? Or should we file different applications for both of them?

3. For my sister, is it good idea to say that she is disable in the application or should we-not mention that at all?

4. I am wondering how to show her ties to the country. I could do it in two ways:
(a) To show that she is disable and she is dependent to my parents, and then, show my parents' ties to the country. My father has a job for which he must go back to our home country. And to show my mother ties to the country, i am saying that she is housewife one of her son who under 18 and will stay at home. So, my mother have to come for him.
(b) The other way could be to show that she has access to the medical care in the country where she lives and se takes her medication from their.
Which option sounds more convincing or should I go with both? Also, I am open to other suggestions as well.

5. Should i create a new online account for their application or is it better to use the same account that I used for my study permit applications?

Thanks,
S I

Unfortunately this is quite tricky. Your minor brother should be attached to your parents' account. Your sister should have her own application as an adult or be linked to your parents. Your siblings are good reasons for your parents to return home so it becomes harder for the whole family to visit at once especially on their first visit to Canada. The other problem is the fact that your sister is disabled and likely doesn't have strong ties to her home country like a job, property, school, husband, etc. I'm not sure where you are from but most countries are not known to be very accepting of disabled people or have lots of treatment for them. To be fair Canada doesn't have tons of programs for disabled adults. Unfortunately there have been cases where families have abandoned disabled children in other countries so that is always a concern. Has your family done some international travel together? The best option would be for your parents to visit on their own but I'm sure that's not what yo want to hear.

Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate it.

My parents they have the visa they got it around two month ago. So, can I attach it now?

Actually, i have 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Out of that, my disabled sister and my 3 brothers are dependent on my parents. I'm only applying for two of them. Also, it is not the first visit to Canada for my parents.

The other problem is the fact that your sister is disabled and likely doesn't have strong ties to her home country like a job, property, school, husband, etc.

That is true, I do not know how to show a strong ties for my sister to her home country. That is why i thought of showing that she is dependent to my parents and then to show that my parents have strong ties to their home country. Then, the officer may conclude that they have to come back together. Also, i can apply for my sister only and convenes my parents to not apply for my little brother. So, if that make better case for the visa officer.

Unfortunately there is nothing for disable people in their home country. Mainly, my mother she is taking care of her now.

Unfortunately there have been cases where families have abandoned disabled children in other countries so that is always a concern.

Yes i agree that could be a concern thanks for this pointing. I could show that we are taking care of her for 27 years and she is our responsibility.

Has your family done some international travel together?

My parents, my brothers and my disable sister had Turkish visa in their passport. However, they went to Turkish except my disabled sister. My sister took care of her at that time. Now they are back to their home country. Also, my parents came to Canada once.

The best option would be for your parents to visit on their own but I'm sure that's not what yo want to hear .
.

Thanks for telling me your point of view, my parents came to Canada once and they went back. My concern is my handicapped sister i want her to visit Canada.

Hope my notes to your reply gives better understanding of the case. Thanks for your notes and suggestion. I love to hear back more.
