Hello,

I am on closed work permit (ICT) visa travelled to Canada last November 2020. I have to apply visitor visa for my baby alone(6 months old) as my spouse already have an approved dependent (open work permit) visa. Both are in India. I just started earning in Canada and don't have enough balance(current balance around 3k) to show as a proof and my bank statements are less than 3 months old.

1, Do I need to show good bank balance for my financial support proof?
2, Will there be any additional proof do i need to submit if I am applying for baby only?
3, Will the processing take more time or any exception available as it for baby only?

You suggestions/experience with similar case is much appreciated.

For the first point, you can include the WP and offer letter which should have the annual pay package. That should be the primary proof of funds along with other supporting documents, last two-three paychecks, payroll deposit in account, bank statements, etc.

Thanks for your suggestion. Do i need have some good figures in my bank balance ?

No, your employment letter and three pay slips are okay. Just as @trigger said, all you need is proof of financial resources, which involves employment letter with your annual income stated plus 3 pay slips. You are good with these.

That doesn’t guarantee approval. You still need to show that you can support a visitor. 3k does not leave much room for support. Just a flight to Canada would use a lot of the savings. You can certainly try and see what happens.

Would add that unless your spouse has a job offer in Canada she will need special authorization to enter Canada at the moment.

Hi
My husband is in Canada on closed work permit and I'm in India with valid visitor visa (dependant)I have a infant who's three months old and we are looking at applying visa for her.But the timelines are too long as per ircc.
Anyone here who's applied for visitor visa for their baby ? And how long did it take for the visa to arrive?

Don’t know where you are from but Whatever the processing time says is the estimate. There is no expedited processing. Processing is long because of Covid. Plus you and your child need written authorization to travel for essential purposes.

You also need special authorization to enter Canada even though you have a TRV.

The fact that you only have a TRV could be an issue. You should have an OWP if you want to remain with your spouse in Canada.

Whoever you are ... I'm looking for some positive guidance..so would appreciate it if you don't reply to my posts with such negativity since you don't know the whole case scenario.. thanks

Not negative just realistic especially during covid. A TRV is for temporary visits and you are wanting to live in Canada. Due to covid Canada is more likely to approve your special authorization if you have an OWP and not as a temporary visitor.
