Hi,

I need to answers to few of my questions for application of Multiple entry Canadian Visitor Visa from Canadian Consulate in Detroit. I am Indian citizen in US on H1B visa and working.

First of all on the application form there is a section asking for names and addresses of persons you will be visiting in Canada. Now my question is should I provide the details of my relatives in canada or not? Also If I do provide these details should I need some kind of proof in order to show to the consulate that the names and addresses I have provided are my relatives living in canada.

What are the chances if I don't provide the names and addresses of the persons I will be visiting and say that I will be visiting Niagara falls of me getting the visa. And if I do provide the details will I have chances of getting the visa for longer duration or not.

I am pretty confused about this as some say that providing the information about relatives might give you edge in getting the visa for longer duration, well others say that it may also be a roadblock in getting the visa as the visa issuing officer may say that you will not return to US as you have relatives in Canada..

Please advise me how should I go about providing this information.

Also about the funds, how much funds are sufficient to be shown to the consulate officer for getting the visa issues and will the online bank statement suffice for this or not.

Thanks,
RoopSk.

Letter of invitation is the best. You can get a letter from your employer indicating that you are only going for a short visit and your intention is returning back to your country for your job because you have to convince IO that you have ties to return back to your country. You can include bank statement showing how much money you have to support yourself. Letter from your employer indicating your salary....
Good luck!!!!

I forgot to mention that I had included my address but didn't mention he was my financee since I only referred him as a friend.when I sent the invitation letter to my fiancee who is my husband now.

Hi Marlena,

Thanks for your reply. I do have recent paystubs from my employer and the also the employment letter from my employer that I am working here in Michigan. But that still doesn't answer my initial question that whether providing the information on the application form itself about persons I will be visiting in canada will increase my chances of getting a visa issued for longer duration or otherwise it will jeopardize my chances of getting the visa issued.

Also I have online bank statement or do I need to get the mailed copy of the bank statement?

Thanks,
RoopSk

In my opinion online bank statement give you the most recent amount of $$$.
Regarding the address. It won't hurt to include it because if you are approved for visa they will ask you for the address once you arrived. I don't see it will hurt you in any way but if it makes you feel better don't include the word relative just mention them as friends....
