So if you are rejected, would that affect the sponsoring process later?

Also if you are approved, and when you arrive to Canada and are in the immigration booth and they ask you what you are doing in Canada, would they let you through if you say you're visiting your husband?

Hi all,

newbie here, I'm a canadian citizen married to a girl in Venezuela. I want her to come a visit for a bit, I'm planning on applying for sponsorship as soon as all papers are gathered.

if you have any suggestions on how to obtain the TRV for her, that would be great.

I understand there is a high chance they will deny it.

I'm a full-time employee and own a house. Money is not an issue.

Just to update here, My wife was a approved for a multi-entry TRV that expires on 2017, we're very happy now, this will make sponsorship way easier.
