I would be needing to extend my visitor visa for the 3rd time around soon. I was approved two extensions for 6months each. I would just like to ask if anyone of you have tried extending their visa for more than 2x? Do they require an upfront medical or just wait til they notify after submitting the extension?

You don’t want to appear like you’re attempting to abuse your “ visitor visa “
You’ve already been here a year . Asking for more time unless it’s a very good reason , aka spousal sponsorship could have the IRCC looking at your application very closely .
Shows little ties to your home . Not many people can stay away that long
They have a job to return to, obligations
They can now cancel visas if they think they are being abused .
Remember visas are a privilege, not a right
