Visitor Visa Extension

Hi,

1. I have applied for an inland spousal application, and my visitor's visa is going to expire in a month. I have been told to apply for a Visitor record, Can i mention the reason for a visitor record is that i have applied for an inland application?
2. Also, in the form IMM5708e, there is a question, for how long am i going to stay for an extended visa? What date should i fill in(another 6 months)?
3. I am applying for the visitor record myself, i see there is a mandatory form for the representative, what should i fill in that form?
4. Can you share a sample letter on why i need to extend my stay
5. i could see below forms and documents needed, Is there anything else needed other than mentioned?

1. Yes. This is what is commonly known as `Dual Intent' and as long as you have strong ties `back home', your chances of approval for the extension are better than those that do not.

2. Depending on how long ago you applied for SCPLC, you will probably be good with a 6 month request, since you could be eligible for the Open Work Permit by then. Once you receive your AoR email you can then apply for the OWP and will be covered under `Maintained Status' so long as on the day that you submit the OWP application your visitor status is still valid.

3. Not sure as I've never had to fill out one.

5. Might want to include details in your letter that you do still have a home in your country and (most importantly) will leave Canada at the end of your authorized stay if your PR sponsorship application is denied.

In the additional information section upload a document that states or request to grant you extension so that you can spend some more time with your spouse while the PR application is being processed, also share your PR application # in the letter to make your case strong
