Hi, i applied vistor visa separately for my mother and father, then my mother has to leave by 2018-11-3, my father got extension until 2018-10-20! I booked the same flight ticket for them and want them to go back together.
If i apply an extension for my father again, the processing time now is about 80 days. Can my father just stay in Canada for a few days after the vistor record expires? only a few days 'illigal' stay will affect next entry to Canada?
kind of waste of time for both CIC and me.......anyone has the situation before?

It’s still an overstay, whether it a waste of time or not. There is always a possibility some overly diligent IRCC/CBSA officier will see the discrepancy and it might cause issues in the future. Hard to say, but $100 is cheap insurance to make sure it isn’t an issue vs lawyers, appeals, rejections and refusals if it does come back to haunt you.

30 days is the maximum they like to see. As long as they receive it before the last day of the current visa you will be fine. You can also with draw after the departure and I believe you are eligible for a refund if they haven’t started processing.
