Visitor Visa Extension (issues with IMM5708 form)

Hi everyone,

I’m having problem accessing the "Application to Change Conditions, Extend my Stay or Remain in Canada as a Visitor or Temporary Resident Permit Holder [IMM 5708] (PDF)"

I’m getting a message that says I need a later version of the PDF viewer, however I have downloaded and installed it and the situation remains the same. I've tried to downloaded using CMD+S or other ways but none have worked so far

Anyone else had /have this issue? What may be the problem and how could I fix it? I’m using Mac OS (Intel) 10.5.8 - 10.11 and different browsers (safari, chrome, explorer)

when u download it, open the pdf so just take the mouse to down middle of pdf page and u will see option and from the right side u select option second then it will be open.

when I download the attached pdf that was supposed to be the form, all I get it's the same warning page about updating my adobe version... although I tried what you told me but there isn't possible selection at the middle of the pdf page...

Make sure you aren't opening it in your web browser. When it has downloaded, click "open file location" and open it with your pdf reader. The newest version of adobe works fine for me this way, but any time I open certain CIC pdfs in my web browser I get the same message. I hope this works.

looks like you are using Google chrome browser.
Use internet explorer instead, once it gets open then save it to your computer.

Hope it will fix your issue.

I got the problem solved by, as someone mentioned, opening the file on my computer (not in the browser) plus setting adobe reader as main program to open PDF files. cheers

Better apply online. How did they first entered Canada? Or you have to renew their status? Maybe you should provide more information to get help
