Visitor Visa Extension Approved But Medical Examination requested

Hello All,

My parents Visitor visa extension has a medical examination request. But they also got the approval of the same on the day after the medical request. My question is do they still need to do medicals if the extension is already approved for another 4 months from now ?

For Medicals they charge 265$ each.
What's the point here to spend 530$ for both parents ?

Yes, they still need to get the medical done. The extension is conditional on your parents getting the medical done. If they don't get the medical done, IRCC will essentially retract the extension.
