Hi,

I am a dual-citizen of Canada and the US, and a university student in Canada. My husband is a US citizen. I have been living with my husband in the US for 7 months now -- during the summer, as well as taking a semester break from university. I drove my car when I came to the US.

We plan to go back to Canada for 4 months (the upcoming semester) where he will be a visitor and I will be attending my fourth year of university. After exams (April 2016) we intend on coming back to the US and staying here while I take some online courses. We then intend to go back to Canada for 4 months (with him as a visitor) in January 2017 for me to take my final 4 classes and graduate from university. Then we plan to move to the US permanently.

How can we ensure that he is not denied entry into Canada? My concern is providing proof that he will go back at the end of his 4 months. Since we are driving (I need my car) I will not be able to provide return tickets. He has visited many times over the course of our relationship, but has always returned before his time was up. We are 20 years old and do not own property in Canada or the US. All of his family lives in the US, and mine all live in Canada. What methods can we use to prove that both of us (him specifically) plan on returning to the US after 4 months?

Thanks!
