Hi, i'm in the midst of applying for citizenship online. After i submitted my PR application i ended up on a Visitor Record for 3 months.

I'm a tad confused and i've tried to find answers online but nothing clear. Does anyone know what Temporary resident status a visitor record falls under?

Either a Visitor or Temporary Resident Permit Holder?

Thanks

Visitor record - visitor status.

You never held a Temporary Resident Permit (TRP), otherwise you would know. Those are only for people who are inadmissible to Canada for one reason or another and need the permit to overcome that inadmissibility.

Hi,

im in the middle of applying my Visitor record but i have couple of question if you could please answer them?

My situation:
I'm on visitor Visa and my spouse is Canadian citizen. we've already applied for my Spousal sponsorship but my Visitor visa is expiring next month so we're applying for a visitor record.
my question is by any chance do you remember if they asked you to upload any document of 'Family Member Proof of Status' in 'Supporting Documents' while applying visitor record?

because If I answer no to the question (Are you accompanying a family member that has status in Canada?), it doesn't ask me to upload Family Member Proof of Status On the other hand, If I answer yes, it asks me to upload proof of spouse status in canada. So what should be the correct answer here? How are you going to show them that you're extending your stay to live with your spouse in canada who is a canadian citizen?

My 2nd question is:
2) for proof of fund i don't have funds available in my UK bank account (previous residence country), now i have TD Bank Account in Canada in which i have funds available, so my question is can i upload my canadian bank account statement or should i upload my wife bank account statement?

Thanks :)

This thread belongs to the forum for citizenship applications, not spousal sponsorship or visitor applications. You should post in either of the latter two but I can tell you that you have to answer all questions truthfully and attach all documents requested. I am not sure why you are confused about having to attach proof your spouse is a Canadian citizen when that's the reason you want to stay as a visitor.

Hi,
Sorry for the confusion but I just found this threat related to Visitor record as im filing for myself, as Rikers mentioned above that he has visitor record so i was just wondering if he or anyone who already applied for it could answer my query.
also regarding my spouse proof status i have all the documents available but the issue if while filing visitor record they’re NOT asking anything related our relationship or my spouse status in canada. My question is where should i upload these documents because in online there's no option to upload such documents.
They’re just asking my Passport, Funds proof and Photo only.

But you said it does ask you for proof of status of family member when you say yes to the relevant question.

Answer yes to that question because that's exactly what you are doing and upload everything related to the relationship (marriage certificate, Canadian passport of spouse, correpondence from IRCC related to sponsorship, any letter of explanation if needed, etc.).

Hi,
Thank you for your reply actually their question is:
Are you accompanying a family member who has status in canada ?

Explanation: Accompanying a family member means you will be staying with a family member who is already in canada as a Visitor, worker or student. (
My spouse is Canadian citizen)

Glossary of Accompanying on IRCC site:
Accompanying you means that this person intends to come to canada as the same time as you.
(Im not accompanying anyone as me & my spouse already in canada) so confusing
