Hi Team,
When I was on a Work Permit before getting PR, my wife was on a dependent visa.
Now while filling out the online application for her, I need some guidance on below question:

Add temporary residence status:
1: Visitor
2: Temporary Foreign Worker
3: Internation Student
4: Temporary resident permit holder

What would be the correct option to choose from the list?

If unsure, go with visitor, and include a letter of explanation, and both her visa and your work permit as optional documents.

It's definitely temporary foreign worker for you.
A visa is an entry document and has nothing to do with status inside Canada. Was she documented on a visitor record or did she have a work permit? If she didn't have anything other than the visa and perhaps an entry stamp, she would have only had valid status for 6 months and after that her time in Canada wouldn't count until the day she was confirmed as a permanent resident, unless she left and re-entered again for another 6 months. It's 6 month temporary residence per entry unless something else was documented on a record or permit at the port of entry or by an inland office.
