I applied to extend my parents stay in Canada on Oct 10 2024. Today I got biometric validation letter in gc key account and the status says

Final decision- Oct 31 2024 in progress

Does it mean it’s not approved?. It’s too soon to be processed but why does it say final decision?

the biometrics were only valid till Dec 2024. We asked for two year extension so we sent in a web form today with receipt of payment for biometrics and asked for BIL biometrics invitation letter. Will we be fine?

They have been visiting Canada since 2019 so they would have already received multiple extensions. Impossible to know if denied or approved at this point.
