Looking for help on applying for extension of stay for spouse .

So as per my understanding i need to upload IMM 5558 and IMM 5708. Is there any form left or i am missing ?

Does form IMM5708 after validation need to be signed if applying via Online ?

Instruction Guide does not say for Photographs to be provided ....is it must to upload photo? what size ?

Please help me on it.

It totally depends on what she wants to do. Only you can tell.

One word of advice... if you are planning to bring her here to "wait" for her sponsorship to finalize then the chances are little. TRVs are not for that.

If you write move here, it will be rejecting. Extending a stay is for visitors only.

By the way, you doN't need to do an application for extending your stay as a visitor. If your spouse already has an application for PR on the way, you have implied status and she doesn't need to extend anything. Her status is automatically maintained while you wait for an answer on your PR.

The only thing you would need is a new TRV if you would want to exit CAnada and that her current Visa in her passport is expired. You need that paper to enter Canada. If you are not leaving CAnada, than you don't need to do anything.

I know this because my spouse is also in process of PR and I have asked agents at CIC this question. We are going to Peru in April and I had to do an application for a TRV so he can enter in CAnada again, but if we weren't leaving I didn't need to extend the stay.

Anyways I don't know about the insurance coverage situation.

But to answer to your question about what to write in extending your stay, I would put purpose of visit, visitor, and more than 6 months.

If you put move here, you will not be eligible for the application.

Incorrect. Applying for PR does NOT grant any form of status. A person who applies inland can include an OWP app, which will maintain status. A person who applies outland must maintain their status separately by applying for extensions.

Yes you are right.
I wasn't thinking about inland vs outland.
I assumed if he was in Canada it would be inland, however I learned recently you can do an outland application and still be in Canada.

I followed all steps and able to get code to apply via mycic.

Under my cic i came to know it ask for Optional IMM5257 ( Used mail for application of new trv). Is it necessary to fill this option form as there is only one mandatory form IMM 5708. On My cic it does not show any option to attached check list. Any idea is it necessary to attached check list ?

IMM5257 and IMM5708 are for different purposes and only one can exist per application.

Be sure which one you upload.

it usually takes the days posted in the CIC website (53) +100% (1 to 106 days), anytime in that timeframe is fair game.
