Hi everyone,

My apology in advance if my question is redundant.
So I was looking at QSWP criteria, and wondered about these two things:

1. Under the Visiting Quebec (maximum 5 points) part, it seems like you can study for at least 3 months in Quebec and claim 5 points with that. Does this category only count if you were in Quebec under the student visa? I am only asking because it seems like you don't have to get the student visa if your study (i.e., language institution) only goes shorter than 6 months. Speaking of the documents and proving the length of study, do I need to present a student visa as well as the inscription to the program in order to get these points? or, rather, does studying French in a language school count toward this criteria?

2. As far as the "qualification" goes, does the immigration authority go to people with "more" points and in the descending order from the top? or if you have more than 50 points, is this a random selection?

Thank you.
