I am applying to visit my daughter, she is a permanent resident. I have following doubts -
1. My daughter is filling form on my behalf from canada, as if she is me as I am not that tech savvy. Is there a way for CIC to track it?

2. What document should I upload in - Purpose of travel (others) as I do not have any planned itinerary or return tickets

3. Is it necessary to notarize the invitation letters for Indians or just a signed invitation would do?

4. I am a widowed mother and live alone in my home country, I am attaching my house property papers and bank statements but being alone makes case weak or no? If yes then how can I make my case strong.

Thanks in advance

No problem with IRCC. Your daughter can create and upload files for you. There is a form where in you can indicate that she is authorized to represent you.

You not advised to purchase airline tickets. You can grab flight itineraries from site such as Expedia/Google Flights (or same sites) or simply by getting screen shot of your planned dates of travel from your preferred airline through their website. You also need to create a day to day itinerary of the places or activities that you plan to do on your visit.
Example:
Day 1-3 Sleep / Recover from jetlag
Day 4-6 Visit Niagara Falls
Day 7 Visit Downtown Toronto
Day 8 Dinner with friends

According to the site, some visa offices may ask that a notary public notarize your letter. The invitation letter I presented was not notarized and I never had a problem.

As long as your purpose of visit is valid, you have strong ties (home, job, properties, family.. reasons why you need to go back to India) and you are financially capable (you have money) to travel you might have a chance.
There is a Letter of Explanation (like cover letter) category where in you are like talking to the visa officer, you can state there why you need to visit your daughter and assure the visa officer that you have no intentions to overstay but go back to India after your visit.

Thank you so much for your prompt reply. I am much clear with doubts. One more thing , can you tell me where to add covering letter and other additional documents like my daughter's employment papers and my husband's death certificate.
Thanks

Once your daughter creates the GCkey Account she needs to answer a couple of eligibility questions. Based on what she answered the required forms and category (Travel History, Proof of Mean, Letter or Explanation..etc) will be presented. On each category there is a question mark (?) icon, when you hover the mouse to it, the list of applicable documents that can be attached to that category will be displayed.

Thank you for your reply. Actually we have almost filled the form with the relevant documents but there was no category to which above mentioned documents in question fit in. So we have decided to add them along with covering letter in the tab which requires up to upload Letter of explanation. I hope that helps.
