Visiting Canada without spouse before landing

Hi,

We have received or landing date (after PR approval) as April 2014, so we are planning to complete our landing in Jan 2013. The PR application is sponsored by My Husband (principle applicant) so i cannot enter for landing without him. I however have a valid visit visa for the next two years, i was wondering if can make a visit to canada on the visit visa next month without my husband, (just visit without completing my landing).

Will i be allowed inside on my visit visa even though i have the PR stamped?

Yes, if asked, tell the VO you aren't landing at this point.

Hi..1 question. I am bit worried on my case.
I am primary applicant and got PR approval VISA. My and Spouse are in canada now but not done the landing yet.
My wife needs to go to India for 4 weeks in April, hence if we do landing now she needs to wait for PR card to come so that she can return to India. In this case is it possible that I do my landing alone now and my wife does is alone while returning from India?

Please suggest as I am not able to contact CIC too on this.

Yes that is fine... However you must land before your wife returns from India, otherwise she cannot complete her landing.

I have a valid visit visa as well as a just issued PR visa on my passport. I need to land before Apr 2015. However, I want to visit Canada during Nov 2014, but dont want to "land". You had mentioned in this thread that it is possible...can you please confirm and let me know what needs to be done / not done at the airport ?
