I started applying for an International Experience Canada visa around march, I accidentally didn't sign the form so it was rejected, so I never actually got my visa. My boyfriend and his brother also applied, they were accepted and have paid but have not yet received their visas.

We all booked flights a month ago, because the price kept rising, we all have one way tickets, and still hope to travel over, but I have been reading about the dificulties of traveling on a one way ticket, we are irish citizens which means we can travel to canada for up to 6 months as a visitor. I have bought travel insurance for two months, which states that I must return to ireland within the two months period stated. I also have more than enough funds to buy return ticket and support myself during my stay, I am staying with friends who live over there.

Very worried we will get deported upon arrival... HELP!!!!!!!!!

Not sure I can help but who are you flying with? In my experience buying a return ticket is (bizarrely) much cheaper than just buying a single, whenever I search flights the price of a single is always 2-3 times the cost of a return (love to know the logic behind this???)

I think you may get a hard time with immigration though doesn't mean you will be turned away, I was sent to immigration and asked lots of questions before and I had a return ticket booked for 3 months later, what my job was etc, had to show how I was supporting myself (though this only went as far as flashing some plastic, they never asked for any paper printouts etc). I was staying with girlfriend though which I think means they always pose lots of questions as their main concern is you will stay with the girlfriend and never return.
