1. what is duration of visit visa ? for how much time they give u visit visa ?
2. can a person work in canada on a visit visa ?
3. is it possible to change ur status of visa ? means from visit visa to any other form like work permit etc ?

your suggestions will be highly appreciated .. i am from Pakistan.

1. How long a TRV is issued is up to the CIC office that processes your application. When you use the TRV to enter Canada, the CBSA officer at the border then decides how long you are allowed in for that specific visit.
2. No - it's illegal to work.
3. Yes - it's possible. To change to a work permit tends to be extremely difficult. You have to start by finding an employer in Canada who is willing to offer you a full time job. That employer then needs to obtain something called an LMIA to be allowed to hire you. This is a very long and expensive process that most employers aren't willing to go through. The first step is for the employer to advertise the job for at least a month to prove no Canadian could be found for the job. The next step is for the employer to submit the LMIA application and hope it's approved. Processing typically takes 2-4 months. If the LMIA is approved (not all are), you can then apply for a closed work permit tied to that specific employer.

pakistan, i am interested to apply & visit canada for about week or two.
can anyone guide me, whether i can apply canadian visit visa from US?, if yes! Then what isnthe procedure to follow.
