visit visa refusal

hi. i have applied for visit visa in june as i was invited by my friend, i have deposited following documents;
1. invitation letter by my friend.
2. visa facilitation letter by my hospital and university
3. bank statements having (canadian dollars 15000)
4. income tax documents
5. Property documents.

i received my passport with refusal due to
1. traval history
2. insufficient funds.
I couldnot understand as in my invitation letter my friend was sponsering my stay for 3 weeks, and return tickets. I only travelled to saudi arabia to perform Umra in 2013.

kindly guide me where i went wrong or any lack of documents

Insufficient funds despite $15000, is this money 100% your money? Or did someone make a large deposit into your bank account?

no it is a joint account maintained since 2008 with my mother

Just a tip, If you are working and receiving your salary via ATM, provide your 6 months statement or your past 3 months payslips, the VO would like to know where are you getting your money. Even if you place a million in your account but you cannot prove where it came from, its useless

I am from Trinidad and Tobago and try for TRV but I am confused too in filling form.

Question: have you ever refused visa permit , denied entry ,or order to leave Canada or any other country ?

Now I don't know how to answer this question bcz I was refuesed of US visit visa in 2014. Plz guied me how to explian or how they need to write. Or i have just simple write that yes i was refused visit visa or plz?

You need to answer yes and explain the details (i.e. when you were refused, what kind of visa and why).

I , i am Guyana , enter Yes and then explain Visitor visa refuse. Noting more.

I applied at VAC in POS since last week papers went to High Commission thursday they not look at my file yet....I renewing my current TRV.

Answer Yes, For Details see Cover Letter. And Do add the reasons in your Cover letter

The visa officer is probably looking for a monthly income... pay slips would help.
The money on the bank account probably raised a red flag. Especially if it is not solely yours. How about submitting a certificate of employment?
