Hi everyone,

I am looking to extend my mother’s visitor visa. My
Work permit is expiring next month and she has a visit visa expiring next month, should I request extension of visitor visa ? I am not applying for PR or staying here any longer but my Mom wants to extend her visitor visa. Is it possible while she is in Canada ?

How long has she been visiting Canada, does she have ties to her home country and how much liquid funds can she show? How long does she want to stay?

her first visa got rejected at the airport, the receptionist at the airport said , there is some error in the visa so my mom had to go to embassy in Delhi to get it fixed, they cancelled that visa and gave her another visa the next day which was only valid for 3 months. She came to Canada last week and her visa is expiring first week of July .

was there a date stamped in her passport when she arrived?

No stamp on the passport other than visa and expiry date and stamp at Delhi airport for departure. No stamp at Canada airport.
She got an up to a 6 month visit in Canada so no need to do anything. How long she visits may impact her ability to get another TRV. The fact that she only got a 3 month TRV means that IRCC had significant concerns about her visit to Canada and her visit is essentially a trial. I would suggest a visit consistent with the reason stated on her TRV application. For example if she stated she was coming to visit you and you leave next month and she doesn’t that could raise concerns if applying for future TRVs.
