Sorry to hear about the rejection but glad one has got it again. Not sure about your question but if I may ask did they tell you why they rejected ? As in give a reason or just rejected?
you don't need to do anything extra. apply as usual, check the right box(have a valid us visa, had Canada visa before etc). IRCC system will pick the appropriate application for expedited processing.
I am planning to apply for my parents' visitor for the convocation ceremony. My mother had a Canada visa since 2015 which expired in 2021 (cz her passport expired) and she also has a valid US visa till 2025. My father had one refusal from Canada in 2020 based on "purpose of visit" and "financial assets".
I have two questions:
1) Should I keep my mother as a primary applicant?
2) Do I need to address these refusal reasons in the invitation letter?

Yes gcms states the reason as purpose of visit is “poorly documented” and my father’s establishment to his country. The reason probably was the agent documented $2000 whereas we had $10,000. We also included the bank statement at that time bur probably officer didnt even looked at it.
Should I address this? and any advice how can I do that? Do I need to share old statement of 2020v

In the same situation. For me, my dad received ppr more than a week back but nothing on mom’s application… ive lost hope of reuniting and just frustrated.
My inlaws applied with letter of explanation self declaring some personal details like date of marriage and mentioning substitue documents name. All supporting documents followed the letter including their passports showing each other names and their child's passport and birth certificate.
medical pass on feb 28 th and approved on March 1st and passport request.
I just uploaded an explanation letter as my parents didn't have it either. I attached my birth certificate along with the application showing both their names as my parents.
