Hello. I was wondering if it's bad not to get the Biometrics validity letter, however the Ircc portal shows the Biometrics were completed?

Date of biometrics enrolment: March 9, 2022
Expiry date: March 9, 2032

Latest update:
Biometrics - March 10, 2022: Completed.

Thank you
My case is the biometrics validation letter right before PPR. Just chill, the system already had your biometrics for 10 years.

Has anyone travelled to Canada recently on regular trv? Will the airlines or at the entry point they ask for return ticket?

Cool. Thanks. I will start worring when the processing times deadline will pass. They say it is 25 days now, but is it working days or total days, including weekends?

On the portal you would select: To visit my grandparent, grandchild, sibling, half-sibling, step-sibling or non-dependent child who is a Canadian citizen, person registered under Canada's Indian Act or permanent resident of Canada
Thanks Khadeen & nyiable for replying to my queries, much appreciated!!! I started re-applying for parents visa through the new portal. The first message that appeared was "if you already applied before sep 2021 and have provided us with info that you qualify for the fully vaccinated exemption, you do not need to re-apply"

Hope, you can suggest me if I should re-apply or just wait for more time. Also, any idea how to provide them with the vaccinated exemption info. Should i raise a query and attach vaccination records for my parents?

I was thinking of ordering GCMS notes as well. For pregnancy I just stated that she will be helping with the new born , also attend her grandson's birthday in May and meet her sons as it has been 3 yrs since she had met them. She has a job back home and property and investments as well. All of which was given as documents.
I guess we will wait for my delivery and provide the birth certificate and give the reason of just reuniting with family instead of help with newborn.
Hi, I am also in the same situations as yours, MIL TRV also refused for same reasons. We also wrote the reason like we need help and support during pregnancy and postpartum for 4 months. It got rejected for purpose of visit, ties, financial assets. Did you apply again 3rd time with the above reason and has it been approved?

Hi everyone,
I applied for my parents visitor visa through an agent in India in July 2021. Competed biometrics in August 2021. No further updates and the agent in India is telling that the application is just stuck in limbo. I have the UCI and application numbers but when I check though the Online status form, it says no application found. Current application time is 99 days for visitor visa.

Can I start a new application and link it to the old UCI assuming I will get a new UCI number? This time I am planning to apply myself.

My parents really have to visit me and I would appreciate if anyone can help me in the matter.

Thanks.

if you have uci number, when you reapply just key in it..( there is option to add)your biometric data will be fetched by the system…i don’t think u will get new uci number by doing this, but you will get new application number once you complete n submit it

Hello All,

I am re-applying visitor visa for my parents through the new portal (last application was in july 21 and no response so far).
Hope, you can clarify on a couple of my doubts:
1) I am inviting them and in the letter, i have mentioned that i will bear costs for their stay here. on the portal, there are a couple of questions.
a) How much money do you have for your stay in Canada? (In Canadian dollars - CAD)
For this one, i will mention parents account balances.
b)Is someone else giving you money for your stay in Canada?
What should be answer to this one.. although, i will be taking care of costs etc, should the answer to this be no as, there wouldnt be any money transfer as such.

2) For past activities section/current job/title,
Father has a self owned business but, i do not find exact relevant job title/role description in the options.
work/activity: Business, finance and administration occupations
job title : Other service support and related occupations
Hope, we can just go ahead with the nearest match ...
