Hey Guys,

I have applied for my in-law's visitor visa on Old site in May- 2021 and Biometrics completed in July 21. We got nothing after that.

I am considering applying on a new portal now, I have two questions regarding that, can anyone help?

1. If I change my application from Visitor to Super Category, Should I still put UCI number of old application in this new one? Will they accept it or because of changed category from visitor to super I cant do that?

2. Should I use those old bank statements and all same documents which I uploaded in my old application as they are now more than 6 months old. or get new ones?

This status usually means a decision is close by, All the best
My application date is 08.10.2020 on gc key and eligibility status is under review since last year but no decision made yet. I donot think eligibility reviewing is sign of decision in near future.

If your visa office is New Delhi try sending them an email or webform.

Hi guys!
Curious if anyone who applied in December 2021 got some sort of response (may be a bit early). Visa processing times seems to have taken a hit again with the new year…

Hi is anyone facing below issue in new portal applying for visitor visa? I am a PR inviting my in-laws. I used to see Proof of relationship and proof of family member status as required docs initially probably when there was an option "unite with child who is PR of Canada" and suddenly I am neither seeing that option nor those 2 required documents in final upload page. Can anyone tell which option should I select now from below and confirm the documents shown are correct?

Confused between which option should I select now that under any option there is no proof of relationship or proof of family member status needed. Does it mean my spouse neither need to show any proof of being PR in Canada nor to prove relation with them? -
  • To visit my grandparent, grandchild, sibling, half-sibling, step-sibling or non-dependent child who is a Canadian citizen, person registered under Canada's Indian Act or permanent resident of Canada
    • There are 5 docs National identity document, Passport/travel document, Funds (proof), Use of representative IMM5476, Marriage certificate
  • To visit other family who are not listed above or friends for less than 6 months
    • There are 6 docs Invitation Letter, National identity document, Passport/travel document, Funds (proof), Use of representative IMM5476, Marriage certificate
Also another thing to confirm I would be a representative for them so can I apply for them from Canada (They are not in Canada at present) by using my IRCC new portal account?
