Applied thru new portal for my mother in law on Feb 18 2022
biometrics: Feb 25th
Decision on May 11th. Visa refusal
total turn around time: 82 days
Reason for refusal:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

She has no property or assets on her name, always a home maker. Actually we made a mistake with funds. It is a joint account with my father in law. Also they were not maintaining enough balance from last 6 months. Till January they had around 2500$ in their account And all of sudden in Feb beginning we informed them that we are going to apply for her visa please deposit another $4k -$4.5k (we were targeting around 7k per head). So they followed the instructions and deposited funds at last minute. Therefore, bank statements for last 6 months did not reflect required funds. We also attached a letter signed by my FIL saying she has full access to funds, We knew it somewhere that it might not go through but since we had a baby coming in March, we thought we might get away with it(because Canada is usually compassionate towards these kind of situations) but sadly it didn't happen.

we also attached our bank letter and bank statements from here(Canada) with good amount of funds but it didn't help.

Guys any solution you can offer ? Currently we are not in position to apply for her super visa.

It's so unfortunate.
so the bank account which you are talking she is primary A/C holder or is it joint A/C ?

For V V main criteria is Tie -up with Home country and enough fund must be their to show applicant air ticket , stay, and Expense during her stay.
Showing your Canadian Fund will not help much in V V case
please show enough fund and reapply

Good Luck

You can deposit the money in FD and share the FD summary. Bank will provide the FD summary in their letter head, and it can be withdrawn online. That's what I did for my husband's TRV and for my pr application as well(back in 2018). But I didn't get an update on the TRV after biometrics, that's different story.
