Hi guys,
Have a question here for any experts and would appreciate any help at all from anyone.

I currently reside in Canada, not in Quebec, and am intending on sponsoring my fiance, who resides in the UAE (Abu Dhabi office), to arrive here immediately after we get married over there.
However, prior to us getting married, I'd like her to apply for a visit visa so that she if possible, can come here and stay with me till her PR Card sponsorship process comes through.
She's got a decent job, can show a decent amount of cash in her bank statement and can prove strong ties to the UAE. She also has had visas issued for other countries previously with US, UK etc....So I'm hoping all that works in her favour.

Now here's my dilemma.
When applying for her visit visa here, should she state her purpose of her visit as just a tourist visa and coming here to meet friends and sight seeing without specifying that her fiance is here..

OR should she make it clear that her fiance, husband-to-be is residing here and she wants to visit him?

I understand that if she says her fiance is here in Canada, that it would make the chances of her getting a visit visa a little less as the officer might think she might just stay over here and get married over here, which is NOT what we intend.

However, if we do not disclose that her fiance is here in Canada, would it cause an issue in the sponsorship of her PR Card later on in the long run?
Also, if her visit visa for Canada does get rejected, would that impact the sponsorship application once we're married?

Any help at all would be appreciated immensely. Would be really grateful.
Thanks.

I believe if she applies for a visitor visa, she shall state a proper purpose of visit, informing that her fiance is in Canada. The PR-sponsorship application that you will file later will be a very long application and will include details regarding her travel history, past applications, etc. Hence, the fact that she applied for a visitor visa will be very well known to them when they process the PR application. If they perceive that the previous visitor application included some untruthful statements, that would raise red flags and can delay the application at the very least.

You may apply for visitor visa, but I will strongly recommend that she mentions the correct purpose of her visa. If you want to organize a marriage ceremony in Canada, you can mention that as the purpose itself. She can cite her job as a reason to go back to her home country (UAE).

Thanks for the input. Yeah, I reckon that's the route we'll go then and make it clear her fiance is here in Canada.
No intention of organizing a ceremony here as all her family is back home in the UAE, thus.

Thanks again though, I really appreciate the input and am really grateful!
Absolutely any other advice from anyone else is also appreciated. You guys are a great help.

Another thing I wanted to ask was,
if her application for a visit visa to Canada does get rejected, would that have any impact on my sponsorship for her PR when she's my wife?
