As said above, you are most likely being refused a temporary visa because your ties to Canada (Canadian wife and children) are MUCH stronger than your ties to your home country (company, property, etc). This makes you a high risk for overstaying your visa. An immigration lawyer can't change that and would simply be a waste of money.
In regards to sponsorship, it sounds like she was told incorrect information by an immigration consultant and that neither of you have even looked at the application or talked directly to CIC. Your wife doesn't need to have a job to be able to sponsor you. She has to be able to show that you guys won't need to go on welfare. This can be by showing her savings, your savings, your income, financial support from both or your families, etc.
