I have a query: I'm planning to take education loan against my property of 18 lakhs. And I have about 6 lacs in my savings account. I'm not applying under SPP so it is still mandatory to create a GIC account. The loan amount will easily cover 2 years tuition fee plus 1 year living expenses.

12 : 48% (just 11 marks short of 50% )

ielts : 6.5 no bands less then 5.5

applying to thompson river university in kamloops, but my agents are saying chances are 50 50 coz of less marks in my previous education, applying for hospitality managment in TRU. ???

If I were you I would do the following


option 1 (best chance)

take 1 year of diploma in India in hospitality from a reputed institute. get atleast 60 percent marks
reappear ielts, and get more than 6.5 in each
take admission in ubc,u of victoria, or college univ partnership (ill guide you on this later)

option 2(better chance)

check your grades again, is it 48% including practicals?

try and get admission in good univ. tru is not the greatest and well kamloops part time jobs are dismissal.

option 3 (50-50 chance)

go with your current plan


Alternative (sureshot)

If you get rejected, apply for Newzealand
Visa is sureshot
tourism is in boom
PR is understood to be easy later on

(1) Subject to this section, no person shall knowingly, directly or indirectly, represent or advise a person for consideration — or offer to do so — in connection with a proceeding or application under this Act". In other words, no one is allowed to represent or advise in immigration matters except;

(a) a lawyer (Canadian)
(b) member of a law society including a paralegal (Canadian); or
(c) a member in good standing of a body designated under subsection (5)

All above listed people called 'authorized representative'. ICCRC comes under (c) and Canam is one of the member of ICCRC, authorized to advise and/or represent person for immigration purpose.

How CANAM is making your intelligent fool?

1. As per the bill C-35, no 'authorized representative' (CANAM wrongly call themselves a 'Licensed Approved Agent') can;

: Complete and/or submit immigration forms on a client’s behalf;
: Advertise that they can provide immigration advice for consideration;

2. CANAM is only a member of one regulatory body which is responsible for regulating immigration consultants. The said regulatory body (ICCRC) is responsible to determine whether its members (CANAM) act in the public interest, and whether the members are providing professional and ethical representation and advice. Now, the question is if CANAM should call itself a 'Licensed Approved Agent' of Canadian Govt.

3. As per the bill C-35, immigration consultants (CANAM) are only authorized to;

:direct you to the CIC website to find information on immigration programmes
:direct you to the CIC website to find immigration application forms
:direct you to an authorised immigration representative

Never the less I vouch for every honest point and Since you seemed to be more better informed (respect) can you tell me who in india "actually" qualifies as "CIC authorised consultants" so that I let other know bout it.
