Visa Status after application has been sent

Hi, I am a little confused.

I have had my Korean wife extend her 'temporary tourist visa extension' and close to the end of the extended visa, we submitted her Permanent Residency Application.

I have still yet to receive a e-mail verification ( I have sent the application 45 Days ago) and the tourist visa extension is about to expire.

Do I need to re-new the tourist visa or once the application has been sent, do I await confirmation and have my wife stay in Canada until the decision is complete?



Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Someone more familiar with the inland process can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that means she has no "implied status" and you have to extend her visitor's visa. Send it in and that will give you implied status until they make a decision on the extension application. When exactly does it expire?
