Hi Nav23,

I noticed your scenario is very similar to my wife's situation.

I am the principal applicant, and I live in Canada. My wife lives in India and I requested for changing her Visa office to India. After about 3 weeks, I got a reply saying to send both mine and my wife's passports to Delhi. But I specifically mentioned that only my wife is in India.

My question is did your spouse also get a similar email asking to send both of your documents to Delhi, even though he is in Canada? I wonder whether this is a general email that is sent for visa office change regardless of whether just one of us or both of us require a change in location for visa stamping. Kindly let me know.

Hey..my husband just received a mail again to submit his and my passport to New Delhi but we have already submitted to ottawa and chandigarh offices.I think its an automatic mail..Have u sent your wife's passport to embassy?when did u send your passport to Ottawa?

@nav23: Thanks for the reply.. Neither me nor my wife have send our passports yet.

Here are my dates:
Received request for passport: June 18th
Sent email to CPC Ottawa: June 19th
Sent reminder email: July 7th
Got CPC Ottwa's response with arrangement made for Delhi: July 7th ( like 1-2 hours after I sent the reminder, which I think is just a coincidence)

I sent my passport to ottawa on Jun 23, they received it on Jun 24. I got it today(Jul 7), it's in post office, need to collect it in the evening
Sent My Wife's passport on Jul 4, it's received by New Delhi today Jul 7.hopefully will get her passport by end of week.

Finally received the magical email from CIC for visa stamping at New Delhi office.. will be submitting the passports to New Delhi VFS today..
