visa stamping at other office

Passport sent to delhi office on 6th May . Waiting to get back the passport . Any idea how long it takes ?

May 6th was Tuesday. So you can collect from VFS tomorrow. This is what happened to me!
You can check the status online.

I even tried to call CIC today, it is really hard to get to them. I had to go through another number, not that one that is mentioned on the web site (coz I am calling from outside Canada). After punching numerous digits I finally got the message..."we will now connect you with an agent"....but....soon after it I heard..."we are experiencing high volume of calls and we can't connect you with an agent.... " ;D

Argh...so I finally got in touch with the CIC hotline and talked to an agent. And she said " Probably they haven't got through your email yet, the only thing you have to do is to wait....."...
So, same old, same old...waiting and waiting and waiting.....

So I called the VFS at my home country and they said ..."wait for the email from Ottawa.."....
I should have sent my passport directly to Ottawa....

I submitted on 6th May and it is in process as well . Just talked to the help line and they say minimum 10 working days required.

Thanks KaranJ. Just now checked the status, it says that the processed passport has been dispatched from Canada Visa Office NEW DELHI on 13/05/2014 to the Canada Visa Application Centre. I will check with local VFS center tomorrow. Thanks.

Hey raagaa, have you heard back from CPC-Ottawa yet?

Not yet. Still waiting. Pretty sure if I call them, I'll get the same standard answer like yourself that they are yet to reach my email in their clearance que.
I really wish that they had separate email addresses for each step so that the their turn around time would have been much more efficient.
Oh well! There is nothing under our control so proverbial process improvements sound cool just in the head!
If only the world was a perfect place then things would have moved at a steady, predictable pace.
