Just 3 business days ;D I know I am impatient, but knowing that some people get response even only one day after requesting visa printing at another office doesn't help....

Well you can start bugging them after 7 days. Before that you would have to just wait for it :)

I just couldn't resist, so I sent them another email, asking to acknowledge that they had received my first request, and again asking them to advise me what steps I should take now...Of course, I didn't get an answer. And I am still waiting. This time though I will try to wait at least for a week.

Requested for visa print in India : 23rd April
Response from CIC : 24th April
Sent passport for stamping : 06th May

Hello KaranJ

Can you please share the details what is the procedure suggest by CIC for doing visa stamping from India ? Can you copy paste the email after removing your personal information.?
Thanks in advance

It take anywhere from 1-21 days to get a response from Ottawa. A realistic time frame would be any where between 3-7 days.

Anyone here in my situation ---> Principal applicant in Canada (submit in Ottawa) and Spouse outside Canada (submit in local CHC)?

Did anyone contact Ottawa under this situation?

iamroth , I am exactly in the same situation and I have just emailed to CIC to tell me the procedure.

I will update once get more details.

@ octprwaiting Let me know when you hear back from CPC-O about visa printing at another office :)

It's been a week for me, and I have already sent them 2 emails...I haven't got a reply yet....Well, I guess I should wait for a while before sending another email :)

I am just thinking of sending my passport along to CIC and write a note to suggest what should I do for my dependent as they are not in Canad.

Wanted to pursue something which someone has alreday tried.

You can send a mail to CIC requesting them to allow you to submit your passport in Canada and to other office for your dependents. Others have already done it and they have been allowed to do so .Do not send passport without requesting for other office for you dependents.

Got a reply from CIC regarding my request to have the visa stamping done for my dependent outside Canada. Got a reply simillar to ready for visa request , with the procedure to get the visa stamping done .

Fast reply from CIC

Hi guys,

Received ready for visa aka PP Request earlier today. I have replied to the same email, stating that I am in India and what should be my further course of action.
Do you recommend sending a separate email on this or a reply to their email should suffice?
