Hi can the passport be directly submitted to Delhi? Do you mean in person to CHC New Delhi? Without involving VFS Global? Also, can it be collected in person after the stamping?

Thanks a ton, really appreciate your response.
You just have to mail them your passport.. your file has already been processed..so.just mail.ur passport.

How can I retrieve my passport?

To retrieve your passport, you have the choice of;
1. Picking up the passport in person or through an authorised representative at the Canada Visa Application Centre or;
2. Courier returns facility. The passport will be returned back to the specified home or office address via courier.

Please note that there will be a Service Charge for the above services. The details can be obtained here.

Thanks iamroth for the vfs link however what navalpandit has been suggesting is to avoid involving VFS global at once. Instead courier directly to Canadian High Commission in India.
In all honestly, thats a news to me. So far I didn't know that a direct route existed. So just trying to gather my resources to deal with my passport submission situation.

Thanks kprs_ind. If anybody else who requested CPC-OTTAWA recently to change visa stamping location shares their experience, it would be much appreciated.

I received the email from CPC-Ottawa allowing me to get the visa stamping at local office, New Delhi, India. They repsonded in 3 days :)

Got stamping request to delhi in 1 day

Got my COPR and visa stamped on my passport. Sent through VFS Chennai, India and got it stamped in just 3 business days..

Anyone here in my situation ---> Principal applicant in Canada (submit in Ottawa) and Spouse outside Canada (submit in local CHC)?

Did anyone contact Ottawa under this situation?

What was your experience?

I am not in a situation as you, but the ready for visa email I received says "If you or any of your family members are residing outside North America and you are unable to send your/their passport(s) to Canada and/or to provide a return mailing address in North America, contact us at CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca so that we can make arrangements to print visas at another office."

Has anyone requested visa stamping from another office recently?

Yah I know that. But I was trying to get some info from the people who were in my situation.

I wanted to know what kind of reply there were getting (Principal applicant in Canada, Spouse in Home country).

i was in same boat, didn't get any decent reply from any one,
couple of quirks,
a) CIC wants all the passports in a 'single bundle' (read PPR mail), though they are ready to consider other visa offices for stamping, it's bit confusing or not .... depends

Hi guys! How long should I wait before sending CPC-O a reminder email about my request for visa printing at another office? I know that they usually respond within a week, and it might take to 20 days, but I am impatient and I can't help it :(

How many days passed for you sandrinho?

Just 3 business days ;D I know I am impatient, but knowing that some people get response even only one day after requesting visa printing at another office doesn't help....
