Hi everybody,

Just starting this thread to track response time from cic to allow stamping visa at any other office.

I sent request on February 18 but haven't heard anything back.

I know many people are there with similar situation.

will take around 28 to 30 days to get reply from Ottawa processing center when they transfer your file to Delhi than they ask you to submit passport threw vfs to Delhi for stamping. best of luck

One of the members GETPR2014 got reply within a week for visa stamping at local visa office (outside Canada).

I don't think they actually transfer any physical file other then notifying the local visa office that the the applicant will be sending passport to their office for visa stamping.

The local visa office will have access the GCMS for processing the visa.

I hope it will not take so long to get reply from CPC regarding this matter.

I too e-mailed them on Feb 19 to arrange passport stamping in India. I was hoping to receive a reply in a week or so but reading all the comments I don't think its realistic for such a quick reply from CIC. Lets hope for the best!

I think it doesn't sound good that CIC takes one month to respond. CIC gives only 60days time to send the Passport for PR visa stamping, CIC itself taking 30days to respond. What If we need passport in remaining 30days for other purpose like stamping other VISA or anything.

I was planning to send it with my colleague

Also I called cic to ask this. She asked me when did I sent email. I by mistake gave wrong date. She said she can not see info and appeared anxious. Will that harm my application. I gave her date when I asked for address update.

I emailed CIC today to request stamping of visa at local CIC office. I updated my address since October and it reflects in ecas and even in their correspondence. So I'm surprised that they still asked me to send passport to Ottawa. Ahh well, now the wait on their reply begins.
